PURPOSE: A key processing device for an image display device and a method therefor are provided to reduce a processing time according to the key input of a remote controller. CONSTITUTION: A key signal processing unit(100) judges whether a signal inputted through a remote controller key receiving unit(20) or a key input unit(30) is a certain key signal, and converts key matching according to the input number of the inputted key signal, a continuous time of the key signal and the input of an input mode conversion key. A key execution unit(300) performs a corresponding operation according to the key signal processed in the key signal processing unit. An image processing unit(60) processes key information processed in the key signal processing unit to be displayed as an OSD(On Screen Display) type. A microcomputer(200) outputs a control signal to the key execution unit to perform the corresponding function according to the key signal processed in the key signal processing unit, and outputs a control signal to the image processing unit to display the processed key function. |
