PURPOSE: A method for implementing an automatic emergency reception mode in a mobile terminal is provided to inform a user of a received emergency call by automatically switching a vibration mode to a bell mode when the same phone number is destined three times consecutively. CONSTITUTION: When a call is destined to a mobile terminal(201), it is checked whether a set destination sound is in a vibration mode(202). If the destination sound is in the vibration mode, an origination number is checked(203) and it is checked whether the call is first destined(204). If the call is destined first time, a user is informed the call through vibration(205). It is checked whether an interrupt is generated(206). If an interrupt is generated, the call is performed(208). It is checked whether the call has been destined twice(208). If the call has been destined twice, the user is informed the call through vibration(205). It is checked whether an interrupt is generated(206). If an interrupt is generated, the call is performed(207). It is checked whether the call has been destined three times(209). If the call has been destined three times, the vibration mode is automatically switched to a bell mode(210) and the user is informed the call through a bell sound(211).
