PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To enable, when a part of image data transmitted from a transmitter to the receiver in conformity to HTTP is lost, a receiver to re-receive the lost part in the image data.SOLUTION: A transmitter 122 transmits image data indicative of an image read from a medium by an image reading apparatus 121, according to a transmission request from a receiver 11. While the image data transmission is in progress, the transmitter 122 stores into a storage area 1222A a part having been transmitted most recently out of data of which transmission is completed. The receiver 11 sometimes loses a part of data successfully received from the transmitter 122. The receiver 11 requests the transmitter 122 to retransmit the lost data. In response to the retransmission request, the transmitter 122 transmits the data stored in the storage area 1222A to the receiver 11.SELECTED DRAWING: Figure 4 |
