PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a multi-phase AC motor capable of suppressing partial discharge.SOLUTION: A coil of each of phases comprises a first sub-conductor that is an input-side sub-conductor, an n-th sub-conductor that is connected to a neutral point and second to (n-1)th sub-conductors. A sub-conductor 19 includes a coil end portion that is disposed within a stator 20 adjacently to the first sub-conductor of each of the phases or that is disposed adjacently to a coil end portion where the first sub-conductor extends outsides from a slot 18. The sub-conductor 19 is (1) an a-th ((a) is a natural number equal to or greater than 2) sub-conductor of the same phase or a different phase in which a voltage takes an extremal value in the case where an AC voltage from an inverter is applied, (2) any one of (a-3)th to (a-1)th sub-conductors of the same phase of a different phase connected to an intermediate sub-conductor that takes an extremal value or any one of (a+1)th to (a+3)th sub-conductors of the same phase or a different phase, or (3) any one of (n-3)th to n-th sub-conductors of the same phase or a different phase.SELECTED DRAWING: Figure 1 |
