PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a radio device and a radio communication method, capable of confirming whether or not the self-device exists in a communication area without need of a special signal.SOLUTION: The radio device, performing half-duplex radio communication through a relay station which performs relay operation to transmit a received signal into a communication area, includes a transmitter unit, a receiver unit and a determination unit. The transmitter unit transmits a transmission signal which includes identification information to identify the radio device. The receiver unit receives a relay signal, indicative of a signal sent from the relay station, through relay operation which causes a delay having a length equivalent to at least one transmission signal. The determination unit determines that the self-device exists in the communication area, if the identification information which identifies the self-device is included in the relay signal received after the transmission of the transmission signal is completed.SELECTED DRAWING: Figure 2 |
