SAFETY DOOR FOR ELEVATOR TO IMPROVE SAFETY BY IMPLEMENTING SIMPLE MECHANISM WITH LINK DEVICE

PURPOSE: A safety door for an elevator is provided to secure the safety of an elevator door by improving reactivity and to repair the safety door conveniently through simple mechanism and low costs. CONSTITUTION: A safety plate supporting spring(3) is installed between a door(2) and a safety plate(1). The safety plate uniformly keeps the interval from the door by the safety plate supporting spring. The safety plate is pressed and a connecting link(7) connected to the safety plate is operated when a person or object is caught in the door. Then, an operating link(8) moves so that a detection electrode(10) is in contact with an operating electrode(9). The contact of the detection electrode and the operating electrode generates an electric signal transmitted into an elevator control unit to open the door again. A stopper pin(11) prevents the contact of the detection electrode and the operating electrode when the door is closed normally and completely.
