PURPOSE: A high precision chucking system using a center pin is provided to compensate the perpendicularity of the ferrule and the wheel by integrally forming a headstock with a tailstock, and to correct the tailstock by measuring the roundness of the ferrule. CONSTITUTION: A center pin is ground by hard metal, and the pin inserted to the headstock is fastened. The pin around the tailstock is moved back and forth, and two transparent nozzles are formed in the middle of the tailstock to lubricate the pin of the tailstock with hydraulic pressure. The tailstock pin is inserted to the end of the ferrule by gripping force of the pneumatic cylinder in mounting the counter sink part to the headstock pin by the robot gripper in chucking the ferrule. The ferrule is unloaded by moving the tailstock pin backward in holding the ferrule with the robot gripper. The perpendicularity of the ferrule and the wheel is compensated by using two fine adjusting units.
