PURPOSE: A channel map setting method of a digital television and a channel search method using the same are provided to reset a broadcasting channel map of a TV, thereby capable of performing a channel change from the present watching channel to a user's setting channel speedily. CONSTITUTION: When plural channels such as 20 channels are provided, only one channel positioned at the central position is set as the first group(S201). The channel number of the corresponding group is stored to a memory(S203). An upper and lower channels are divided with the central channel in the center(S207). A central channel is again set within the upper and lower channel ranges and the set central channel is designated to the second group. The channel number of the corresponding group is again stored to a memory(S209). Plural central channels and plural groups are formed repeatedly(S211). When the group is not increased any more, the channel map set is finished(S205,S213). |
