PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a car washing method by which soiling can be easily removed by spraying with high pressure water without using a car wash brush. SOLUTION: An antifouling coating film containing a polymer which has an acid number of 50 to 500 and which is expressed by formula (1) is applied onto a coated surface. After being fouled, the antifouling coating film is made to react with an alkali cleaner and then the antifouling coating film is removed by using a high pressure spray nozzle in a noncontacting manner. In formula (1), R<SB>1</SB>is hydrogen or methyl group, R<SB>2</SB>is methyl group or cyano group, R<SB>3</SB>and R<SB>4</SB>are respectively hydrogen or methyl group, R<SB>5</SB>is a group selected from the group consisting of a 1-18C alkyl group, a 6-12C cycloalkyl group, glycidyl group, amido group, hydroxyethyl group and hydroxypropyl group and further (a) is an integer of 0 to 6, (b) is an integer of 1 to 10, (c) is an integer of 5 to 300, (l) is an integer of 1 to 50, (m) is an integer of 5 to 500 and (n) is an integer of 5 to 500.
