<p><P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a pulsation type diaphragm fuel pump constituted by forming structural parts by thermoplastic resin to take a countermeasure against vapor lock and provided with a pump chamber, a suction chamber, a suction valve capable of reducing actual volume of a discharge chamber and being properly and stably opened and closed, and a discharge valve. <P>SOLUTION: A valve element 21 having a disc shape is overlapped on a partition wall 12 for partitioning the pump chamber, the suction chamber, and the discharge chamber, a rivet member 25 fitted into a rivet hole 26 and made of thermoplastic resin is fixed to the partition wall 12 by a welding part 26, and a central part of the valve element 21 is nipped and fixed between a head 25a having a flat shape and the partition wall 12. Since a protruding part is the head 25a only, height and actual volume of the pump chamber, the suction chamber, and the discharge chamber are reduced to improve engine start property and fix the valve element 21 by a welding part 27 without loosening it, thereby opening and closing it properly and stably. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2005,JPO&NCIPI</p> |
