PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an image forming apparatus capable of easily and inexpensively preventing a lateral registration shift and an oblique travel at an image formation part when a recording medium is conveyed in order to form an image on its reverse surface. SOLUTION: On a conveyance path where a sheet type recording form having an image formed on its one surface is conveyed to form an image on the other surface, an abutting plate for conveying the recording form while one side of the recording form abuts is movably provided and the position of the abutting plate is controlled so that the recording form is conveyed at the center position of the conveyance path.
