PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To achieve weight reduction and cost reduction, to enhance not only sealability at the time of molding of a resin rib but also the moldability of the resin rib and to simplify a mold, in a trim part for an automobile, and its manufacturing method. SOLUTION: The trim part (door trim upper) 20 is constituted of a lightweight foamed resin base material 21 having shape retention property and the resin rib 22 integrally laminated to the inner surface of the base material 21. The weight reduction and cost reduction of the trim part are achieved by using the lightweight foamed resin base material 21 and reducing the projection area of the resin rib 22. The foamed resin base material 21 is molded by primary pressurization treatment using molds 41 and 42. The resin rib 22 is molded in a sealability-enhanced state by injecting a molten resin M1 in the back side of the foamed resin base material 21 to fill the same in a state that the foamed resin base material 21 is compressed by secondary pressurization treatment higher than the primary pressurization treatment in pressure and using the elastic repulsive force of the foamed resin base material.
