<p>When a moving picture record start is instructed, it is judged whether the previous recording mode has been a moving picture mode by referencing information on a memory. When the previous recording mode has been a still picture mode, intermediate control information is recorded for controlling an extended file by the still picture file and following the intermediate control information, a recording operation of the moving picture mode for recording VTS is started. When the previous recording mode has been a moving picture mode, recording of the moving picture is continued as a VTS recorded in advance.</p> |
