The invention relates to pentafluorosulfanyl-benzoylguanidines of formula (I) and (II), wherein R1 to R4 have the meaning mentioned in the claims. Said pentafluorosulfanyl-benzoylguanidines are suitable as antiarrhythmic medicaments with cardioprotective components for the prophylaxis or treatment of infarction and for the treatment of angina pectoris. They also preventively inhibit pathophysiological processes during the occurrence of ischaemically induced injuries, more particularly the triggering of ischaemically induced cardiac arrhythmia.
