FIELD: plastic metal working. ^ SUBSTANCE: method comprises steps of matching two similar sheet blanks one to other; clamping them along cross and longitudinal edges by means of uniformly distributed discrete clamping members; deforming blanks by feeding between them compressed air; disconnecting deformed blanks and shaping their longitudinal edges. Preliminarily discrete lengthwise corrugations are formed in flat sheet blanks. Longitudinal edges are formed as segmented ones by means of cold deforming of them on article with use of punch. ^ EFFECT: improved process for making metallic thin-wall articles, enlarged assortment of articles due to different configuration of their mean and lengthwise end portions. ^ 5 dwg
