<p><P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To easily specify a position on a metal substrate biochip when the biochip is set to analyzing equipment. <P>SOLUTION: In the biochip wherein molecules can be fixed on or are fixed on a metal substrate, a marker capable of specifying the direction of the metal substrate is present in the biochip. The marker such as the pattern, notch, cavity or the like of a metal coating is provided on the biochip to always set the biochip to the analyzing equipment in the same direction.
