<p><P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To allow receipt of the succeeding command without canceling a command in operation during data transfer. <P>SOLUTION: An interface circuit part 30 for a device transfers a command and data in packet form via serial transfer to/from a host 11. A receipt FIFO 50, a command detection circuit 52, and a transmission FIFO 60 are arranged in a transport layer 46, while a receipt task file register 54 and a transmission task control file register 58 are arranged in an application layer 48. For every section of a packet during the data transfer, an empty time for receiving another command packet from the host 11 is generated. In receipt of the command packet from the host 11 in the empty time during the data transfer, the data transfer is stopped temporarily and the receipt command is read, and after processing for continuing the data transfer or for canceling it is carried out, the data transfer is restarted. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2005,JPO&NCIPI</p> |
