PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an image processor and method that can extract edge information accurate enough to be used in antialiasing processing without reducing drawing speed by eliminating rendering of surrounding pixels other than essential drawn pixels. SOLUTION: An antialiasing processing system 200 restores edge information on an x-direction and a y-direction on screen coordinates from a drawn image, determines processing content necessary for antialiasing from the acquired edge information, and executes the determined processing. Specifically, the antialiasing processing is executed on each pixel by scanning either or both of z-buffer information and normal vector information about each pixel, both obtained at the drawing, or by using normal vector information restored from the z-buffer information.
