PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To improve the wipe-off property of the end face of an optical connector 5 and the efficiency of work time in the removing work of the components of a grinding member 6 composed of silica to be stuck in the finish grinding process of the end face of the optical connector 5. SOLUTION: The grinding member 6 composed of ultra fine fiber cloth is fixed by using a fixing tool 4 on the upper surface of a grinder 2 to be rotated and swung by being supported by a grinding machine 1 for the optical connector, and many optical connectors 5 mounted on a holding member 7 are pressed to the grinding member 6 and ground.
