PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a high frequency inverter arrangement and a discharge lamp lighting device using it, with simple circuit configuration and less harmonic distortion, and further provide a neutral-point type step down noninversion inverter. SOLUTION: The high frequency inverter arrangement comprises: a bridge type rectification/conversion circuit BRC equipped with a pair of switching elements Q1, Q2, switching alternately, a pair of rectification elements D1, D2, and an AC input end; a feedback circuit FBC composed of a first feedback circuit element FB1 comprising an inductor L1 inserted into a position of a circuit where both a low-frequency AC current and a high-frequency current of the circuit flow in both directions, a first rectification element D3, and a first small capacitance C1; and of a second feedback circuit element FB2 comprising a second rectification element D4 and a second small capacitance C2; a chopper circuit DCH including the switching elements Q1, Q2; and third and fourth rectification elements D5, D6.
