PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an intermediate shaft length adjusting jig capable of easily adjusting the length of an intermediate shaft.SOLUTION: To an electric power steering system equipped with an assist mechanism on a main shaft, an intermediate shaft length adjusting jig has one end side member on the main shaft and the other end side member on a gear shaft, and adjusts the length of an intermediate shaft whose length is variably configured by sliding the one end side member and the other end side member. The intermediate shaft length adjusting jig is equipped with a first cylinder portion 10 fitted with the outside of the one end side member to be fixed; a second cylinder portion 20 fitted with the outside of the other end side member to be fixed; and a rotation preventive portion 40 fixed to the second cylinder portion 20, and preventing the transmission of rotations from the intermediate shaft to a gear shaft by a second universal joint 152. The first cylinder portion 10 and the second cylinder portion 20 are equipped with screwing portions threaded so as to come close to and separate from each other.SELECTED DRAWING: Figure 2 |
