ANTISTATIC POLYESTER FILM, AND PRODUCTION METHOD THEREOF

PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an antistatic polyester film having higher-quality coating film uniformity.SOLUTION: The antistatic polyester film is obtained by forming an antistatic layer on at least one surface of a polyester film substrate. The antistatic layer is formed by using a polymer (A) as a main component, which polymer has a quaternary ammonium group and a carboxyl group in the side chain thereof. When 10 samples are prepared by cutting the antistatic polyester film at the positions parted from both ends thereof in the longitudinal direction by 1 m and dividing the cut film equally by 9 and stripe defects of each of the prepared samples are observed, the antistatic polyester film has 2.0 or smaller pieces/m as the mean value of stripe defects per 1 m film width. It is preferable that the surface resistivity value at 23°C and 50%RH be smaller than 1×10Ω/sq.SELECTED DRAWING: None
