PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a device for extracting and recovering a component from a biomass feedstock.SOLUTION: A pressurized low polarity water extractor is constituted of two or more reaction columns communicating respectively separately with each supply source of pressurized water, pressurized heated water and pressurized cooling water. The columns are filled separately with pressurized water, the columns and contents thereof are heated until the time when the water becomes pressurized low polarity (PLP) water, the PLP water containing an extracted component is recovered, the columns are cooled by the PLP water, and a used biomass material is removed from the columns, to thereby extract the component from the biomass.SELECTED DRAWING: None |
