PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a heat-resistant catalyst excellent in heat resistance and capable of suppressing a catalytic metal deposited on a carrier from sintering while keeping the reaction efficiency of the catalytic metal. SOLUTION: The heat-resistant catalyst is manufactured by mixing the colloid of a noble metal prepared by a reversed micelle method, a metal (L) hydroxide prepared by the reversed micelle method and a hydrolysate of a metal (M) alkoxide and sintering the obtained mixture so that the noble metal and the metal (L) oxide are deposited on the surface of the metal (M) oxide.
