摘要 PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To make pixel electrodes and respective signal wires overlap with each other for improvement of an aperture rate and to reduce influence of capacitor between each signal wire and a pixel electrode on display. SOLUTION: An inter-layer insulating film 38 is formed above a TFT 24, a gate signal wire, and a source signal wire 23, and a pixel electrode 21 is formed above them. The pixel electrode 21 is connected to a drain electrode 36b of the TFT 24 by a connection electrode 25 through a contact hole 26 penetrating the inter-layer insulating film 38. The inter-layer insulating film 38 is formed of an organic thin film of fluorocarbon resin etc., and has a smaller specific dielectric constant than an inorganic thin film of silicon nitride etc. Further, the inter-layer insulating film 38 can easily be increased in film thickness. Consequently, the capacity between each signal wire and the pixel electrode 21 is reduced. A transparent conductive film is used for the connection electrode 25 connecting the drain electrode 36b of the TFT 24 and the pixel electrode 21 together. COPYRIGHT: (C)2005,JPO&NCIPI
