<p>The present invention relates to the use of an organoselenium compound of the general formula R1-(Se)n-R2 in which n is an integer from 1 to 8, and R1, and R2 are the same or different and each represents H or an alkyl group having from 4 to 12 carbon atoms, wherein the terminal carbon atom of each of said alkyl groups may be substituted with a carboxyl group, with the proviso that at least one of R1 and R2 is not H, for the manufacture of a medicament for topical treatment and prevention of cutaneous and subcutaneous cancer and pre-cancerous conditions.</p> |
