Polytrimethylene terephthalate composition particles in which trimethylene terephthalate units account for at least 80 wt.% of the repeating units and the intrinsic viscosity is 0.8 to 2 dl/g, characterized in that (a) the particle size is 3 mm or smaller and the weight per particle is smaller than 1 mg; (b) the terminal carboxy content is 25 meq/kg or lower; and (c) the cyclic dimer content is 1.5 wt.% or lower.
