<p><P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a steel band for a spare blade to be divided not by a method of mechanically forming grooves using a slit knife etc. but by a novel method. <P>SOLUTION: The steel band for a spare blade is a martensitic stainless steel band in the softened/annealed state with a heat-affected part continued in the longitudinal direction formed at a position with a prescribed distance from an end surface of the steel band. Preferably, a working groove is formed in the heat-affected part of the steel band. More preferably, the working groove is formed by the laser beam machining; the width of the groove is not more than 200μm, and the depth is at least 5% of the board thickness. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2005,JPO&NCIPI</p> |
