<p><P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a drop discharging device provided with a suction method and means of a functional drop discharging head, which can carry out efficiently the suction against the functional liquid drop discharging head using a plurality of inks (functional liquids). <P>SOLUTION: An ejector 96 is supplied with compressed air from a compressed air supply unit 999 when a switching valve 97 is opened. By the supplied compressed air, a vacuum (negative pressure) is produced in a tube 94a, which causes a power of pulling the functional liquid 611a in for a functional liquid recovery tank 92a. By this vacuum force, the functional liquid 11 is sucked in the order corresponding to a joined tube 93a, a drain joined passage 888, an opening and closing valve 201a, a drain tube 91a, a cap 87 provided on a suction unit 83, and a nozzle 52 of a functional liquid discharging head 511a to clear the clog of the functional liquid 11 at the nozzle 52 of the functional liquid discharging head 511a. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2005,JPO&NCIPI</p> |
