PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a biwire-tiptronic type gear shift device with high practicability by improving the operability of a shift lever. SOLUTION: This gear shift device comprises a shift lever guide 1, a stationary shaft 2, a rotary cylinder body 3, a shift lever 6 swinging in the rotary direction of the rotary cylinder body 3 and in a direction perpendicular thereto, a solenoid 8 and an actuator 13 rotating the shift lever 6, first and second position sensors 10, 14 detecting a shift position of the shift lever 6, a rack 11 affixed to the shift lever 6, a pinion 12 affixed to a drive shaft 13a of the actuator 13, and a control part 18 controlling drives of the solenoid 8 and the actuator 13.
