<p><P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an image processing apparatus which can yield a stable image processing effect without the variation the image processing effect even before or after gradation processing, and to provide a image processing method, program and recording medium therefor. <P>SOLUTION: An adjustment circuit 114 adjusts the width of the pixel value width of an image and performs gradation conversion to stabilize the density of the entire image without depending on the pixel value width. Furthermore, an LUT correction circuit 118 elongates/contracts a frequency component conversion table in accordance with the elongation/contraction rate of the pixel value width of the image, thereby suppressing variations in contrast and a frequency processing effect caused by the influences of the pixel value width elongation/contraction of the image. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2005,JPO&NCIPI</p> |
