PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an ink cartridge, the production cost of which can be reduced, and into which atmospheric air can be normally introduced. SOLUTION: This ink cartridge 1 is constituted by welding: a main body case 1b which comprises a bottom wall 21 and a peripheral wall 22, forming a storage chamber 20, and whose top surface is opened; a lid member 1a for covering the opened surface of the case 1b; and a cap member 1c for covering the bottom wall of the case 1b. An atmospheric-air introduction member 40, which is raised toward the opened top surface from the bottom wall 21 and integrated with the bottom wall 21, is formed in the case 1b. When the ink cartridge 1 is mounted on a recording apparatus, valve members 51 and 51 are pushed up; atmospheric air is supplied to an upper part of the storage chamber 20 from an atmospheric-air introduction pipe 14 through the member 40; and ink is supplied to an ink supply pipe 13 from the storage chamber 20.
