PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a waterproof slide fastener for which fixing strength and a waterproof performance between a tape and elements are increased and the sliding operation of a slider is lightened, and a manufacturing apparatus thereof. SOLUTION: The slide fastener in a waterproof structure is provided with a fastener stringer 2 for which a plurality of fastener elements are lined so as to clamp the front and back of a waterproof fastener tape 10 for which a belt-like core material is coated with an elastomer resin layer at the opposing edge parts of the tape 10, and the slider for engaging and disengaging the elements by a sliding operation. For the fastener element, an engaging head part 22, a neck part, a body part 24 and a leg part 27 are continuously fused and integrated, a tape end edge 11a is projected from a gap between the upper and lower half parts of the engaging head part 22, and the upper and lower flanges of the slider are respectively brought into slidable contact with the surfaces of the respective upper and lower half parts of the leg part 27. The respective half parts of the leg part 27 are extended from the body part 24 through a crotch part 26, slide and guide the flanges of the slider and are disposed for two or more at a required interval in the sliding direction of the slider.
