<p><P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a processing system of radioactive waste which reduces quantity of the radioactive waste without generating a plenty of secondary waste by separating radioactive elements from radioactive waste using small amount of supercritical carbon dioxide. <P>SOLUTION: The processing system of radioactive waste comprises an extraction tank 2 for extracting radioactive element from the radioactive waste 1 by contacting carbon dioxide 5 in supercritical state to the radioactive waste 1, a supercritical carbon dioxide supply system 3 for supplying carbon dioxide 5 in supercritical state in the extraction tank 2, a depressurizer 8 for depressurizing supercritical carbon dioxide containing radioactive element drained from the extraction tank 2, and a radioactive element reclaimer 9 which makes carbon dioxide including radioactive element depressurized in the depressurizer 8 contact water 10, and makes radioactive element migrate to water 10 and separate from carbon dioxide. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2006,JPO&NCIPI</p> |
