PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To overcome the shortcomings of the conventional water treatment system (WTS) unit which uses a lamp assembly and a filter assembly. SOLUTION: The lamp assembly 24 comprises a housing 400, 78, 72, having an inlet opening 388 and an outlet opening 228, a bulb assembly 82 disposed in the housing and emitting radiation, at least one conduit 80 extending between the inlet opening 388 and the outlet opening 228 and carrying a fluid flowing to pass the housing, and a reflector assembly 402 disposed in the housing and having two converging radii of curvature with the top of the curve formed in the vicinity of the bulb assembly, wherein almost all the radiation emitted from the bulb assembly 82 is reflected by the reflector assembly 402 toward at least a part of the conduit 80.
