PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a liquid crystal display device which can perform high-speed response driving, has small memory capacity, and can perform high-sharpness display, and its processing method. SOLUTION: The liquid crystal display device has a conversion circuit (901) for converting first image data to second image data of a fewer number of bits, a frame memory (202) for storing the second image data, second image data of the present frame to be converted, a difference circuit (211) for outputting the difference from the third image data of the previous frame outputted from the frame memory, a correction circuit (212) for correcting the difference data, and an adder circuit (213) for adding the corrected difference data and the first image data.
