PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a power converter capable of highly efficient high quality management of power module characteristic data and learning regulation in power unit manufacturing process. SOLUTION: The power converter comprising a power module 2 encapsulating a switching element for power conversion and a temperature sensor section for detecting the temperature of the switching element, and a control board 1 having a control circuit section for controlling the switching element is further provided with a recording section 7 for converting the characteristic data of the power module 2 into a predetermined recording medium and holding that recording medium.
