PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To realize efficient SVD-MIMO communication by decreasing the number of times of singular value decomposition processing of a channel matrix with high communication load. SOLUTION: A receiver acquires a channel matrix H using a reference signal from a transmitter and performs singular value decomposition thus obtaining a transmission weight V and a reception weight U<SP>H</SP>of downlink. The receiver delivers the reference signal weighted by the transmission weight of uplink, i.e. the conjugate matrix U* of U, to the transmitter. The transmitter receives the reference signal weighted by U* and separates it into the transmission weight component V of downlink and the component of a diagonal matrix D based on the property of a unitary matrix.
