PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To make a developer collection mechanism for collecting used developer in a development apparatus to a developer cartridge simple in structure, simple in manufacturing process and preventive in cost increase. SOLUTION: A collection port 72 for collecting the used developer 100 in the development apparatus 5Y is provided in the storage chamber 77 of the developer cartridge 45Y. A plate type shutter 85 whose one end side is turnably pivotally supported and which opens/shuts the collection port 72 is disposed in the storage chamber 77. A regulating plate 90 for regulating the turning angle at the opening time of the shutter 85 is provided at the rear of the shutter 85. The regulating plate 90 is set at such height that the used developer 100 in the storage chamber 77 does not flow back to the development apparatus 5Y. When the development apparatus 5Y is moved by the rotation of a rotary shaft member 41, the shutter 85 is opened/shut by the change of the gravity thereof. Then, the used developer 100 in the development apparatus 5Y is recovered from the collection port 72 to the storage chamber 77 when the shutter 85 is opened. COPYRIGHT: (C)2006,JPO&NCIPI |
