FIELD: analytical methods. ^ SUBSTANCE: reagent indicator paper contains containing zirconyl hexazyanoferrate has yellowish color or white color with slight yellow shadow and, upon interaction with iron(II), forms blue colored product. Advantage of the method consists in achievement of sharp color transition after reaction of indicator with iron(II) compound and also resistance to reducing substances as well as possibility of determining iron(II) within wide concentration and sample volume ranges with a high sensitivity, especially in presence of iron(III) compounds, alkali, alkali-earth, and heavy metals, ascorbic acid, and dimethylhydrazine. ^ EFFECT: enabled selective determination of ferrous compounds with high determination accuracy. ^ 2 dwg, 3 tbl, 3 ex
