<p><P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To prevent the invasion of foreign matters into a plugging port of a modular jack and prevent the occurrence of a trouble such as a connection failure. <P>SOLUTION: In this wiring device, a door 28 which covers free opening and closing window holes 23, 25 and 26 provided at a boss 3a of a cover 3 is provided, and by covering the window holes 23, 25 and 26 by the door 28, foreign matters are prevented from entering into the plugging port 12a, 13a and 16a.
