PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a development member capable of suppressing the deterioration of charge imparting performance to a toner and preventing the crack of a surface layer. SOLUTION: The development member for an electrophotographic device is provided with a rubber base material and the surface layer which is provided on the surface side of the rubber base material, charges the toner negative by friction and comprises a resin mixture containing an epoxide resin and an acrylic resin. The surface layer is formed by applying and heating a solution prepared by dissolving the resin mixture in a solvent. As the acrylic resin, a graft compound obtained by grafting an aminoethyl group to a main chain comprising a methacrylic acid-methyl methacrylate copolymer is used. The epoxide resin is a bisphenol type epoxide resin and is blended in the quantity of 1-10 pts.wt. per 100 pts.wt. acrylic resin. COPYRIGHT: (C)2006,JPO&NCIPI |
