PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To prevent paper left in a sheet discharging means from being damaged on the surface when paper is extracted as a print sample or the like so as to prevent generation of waste paper. SOLUTION: Paper printed in a printing unit 1 is re-grasped by a discharge paper pawl 13 in a discharge paper chain 10 to be carried, and it is dropped to be stacked on a stacking base 36 in a sheet discharge means 33. As a changing cam 17 upstream in the carrying direction of the discharge means 33 advances to a running passage of the discharge paper pawl 13, the discharge paper pawl 13 is applied to release grasping of the paper. The paper is regulated from moving by a tip 27b of a guide means 27. As the paper is dropped, it is introduced to a guide hole 27a in the guide means 27 by an air nozzle 30 to be dropped and stacked onto a carrying belt 22. It is carried by the carrying belt 22 to be delivered to a sheet receiving member 40. The sheet receiving member 40 below the sheet discharge means 33 is pulled in the direction of an arrow A, and paper as a print sample is taken out. COPYRIGHT: (C)2006,JPO&NCIPI
