PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a recording system of an in-car image of an elevator capable of saving the recording capacity of the in-car image and rapidly retrieving the image when an event occurs. SOLUTION: The recording system of an in-car image comprises an image recording device 4 consisting of a primary image recording unit 26 to record the in-car image picked up by a security camera 3 and an image/data control unit 28 to save the in-car image to be recorded in the primary image recording unit when an even occurs together with the identification data to form a retrieval key to mean the event receiving time and each event when receiving the event signal of a highly possible crime in an image/data recording unit 29, and a remote operation terminal 9 which is connected to the image recording device by radio or by wire, transmits the retrieval instruction with or without time band designation, and selects the event by the identification data forming the retrieval key when receiving a screen to display the event occurrence situation in the time band or the entire event occurrence situation from the image recording device side. On the image recording device side, the in-car image of the image data recording unit is retrieved according to the identification data for each event forming the retrieval key.
