PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a pallet for use in a heavy load which can readily prevent rolling of a cylindrical heavy load such as a coil, and can reduce damage to the outer peripheral side wall of the heavy load mounted on the pallet. SOLUTION: The pallet 1 for use in the heavy load is mainly equipped with a pair of frame members 6a and 6b which are arranged to be parallel horizontally with each other, pins 12a and 12b which are attached on the upper surfaces of the frame members 6a and 6b, respectively, and a tabular hanger plate 8a fitted via the pins 12a and 12b. A pair of elongated holes extending in the longitudinal direction of the hanger plate 8a, is formed on both end portions of the hanger plate 8a, respectively, where each pin 12a and 12b penetrates through each elongated hole. When the heavy load, such as the coil 2, is placed on the upper surface of the hanger plate 8a upon using the pallet 1, the central portion of the hanger plate 8a deforms to bend down into a shape that extends along the outer peripheral side wall of the coil 2.
