PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a vehicle periphery display device for displaying the position of an object around own vehicle without feeling odd. SOLUTION: A relative position of another vehicle around the own vehicle is calculated from a photographed image of a camera 1 by an existence position calculation part 23 and the calculated relative position data are accumulated on an existence position history memory part 25 for a predetermined time. A grouping processing part 26 performs grouping processing of first stage, eliminates the relative position data having no continuity caused by erroneous detection and pitching of the vehicle and performs grouping of the relative position data of the predetermined time by grouping processing of second stage. Average coordinate and covariance matrix are calculated by a statistic calculation part 27 in every group of the relative position data and reliability distribution is calculated at a reliability distribution calculation part 28. Monitor display of the existence position of another vehicle sets an object marker having a size corresponding to a size of theory error onto a plane coordinate making the own vehicle viewed from above as a center and displays it with brightness corresponding to a value of reliability added to the object marker.
