PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide mounting structure of energy absorptin material for firmly mounting the energy absorptin material onto a member such as a trim, eliminating peeling or cracking on the energy absorptin material even when a warp occurs in the member, and having excellent durability. SOLUTION: A seat part 2 is provided on the trim 1, and the energy absorptin material 3 is attached to the seat part 2. The energy absorptin material 3 has a pad 4 made of a synthetic resin foam such as foaming urethane, and a female member 5 incorporated therewith when the pad 4 is foam-molded. In order to attach the energy absorptin material 3 to the trim 1, the energy absorptin material 3 is brought close to the trim 1 while a male member 6 is attached to the seat part 2, and an upper end of a head part 14 of the male member 6 is inserted in each female member 5. When the energy absorptin material 3 is strongly pressed toward the trim 1, a projecting part 14a is elastically deformed so as to be retreated to a space part 14c side, and the head part 14 enters the inside of an insertion part 19. When the projecting part 14a passes through an inward flange 18 as a step part, the projecting part 14a is elastically restored into an original shape, and an inner peripheral edge part of the inward flange 18 is held between the projecting part 14a and a third flange 13.
