PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To improve the rate of operation by enabling sheets provided in a plurality of sizes to be evenly used and by reducing the number of sheet replacement in a printer provided with a plurality of sizes of sheets. SOLUTION: The printer comprises a first printer 10a for printing inputted image data on a recording sheet 101a in L size, a second printer 10b for printing inputted image data on a recording sheet 101b in 2L size, a management memory 12 for managing the residual data of the recording sheet 101a in L size and the residual data of the recording sheet 101b in 2L size, and a control unit 13 for switching the first printer 10a to the second printer 10b. When the sheet 101a in L size is specified, the control unit 13 switches the printer from the first printer 10a to the second printer 10b corresponding to the residual data L of the recording sheet 101a in L size, printing image data in L size on the plurality of record sheets 101b in 2L size.
