<p><P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an authentication system capable of preventing intrusion, tapping, and attacks by unauthorized users and ensuring the security without the need for using a complicated system, network switching, and a sophisticated authentication apparatus. <P>SOLUTION: A DHCP server 8 pays out an IP address in response to a request from a terminal 1. An authentication server 3 receives an authentication frame transmitted from the terminal 1, authenticates the terminal 1, and informs a registration information database 22 of an authentication hub 2 about communication permission of the terminal 1 when the authentication is finished. A frame reception circuit section 21 of the authentication hub 2 receives a frame transmitted from the terminal 1, determines frame transmission, rewrite transmission or abort by referencing the registration information database 22 on the basis of sender information and transmits the transmission frame whose transmission or rewrite transmission is permitted to a transmission buffer 23. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2006,JPO&NCIPI</p> |
