LASER BEAM MACHINING APPARATUS

PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a laser beam machining apparatus for shortening a machining time and allowing highly accurate machining.

SOLUTION: The laser beam machining apparatus 1 for forming a recessed part in the bore inner face 91 of a cylinder 90 is equipped at least with a laser oscillator 10 for generating a laser beam L and a light collecting head 30 having a condensing lens 32 for converging a laser beam L from the laser oscillator 10. The laser oscillator 10 is provided with an aperture 15 formed with an opening 151 which can transmit only a part inside a prescribed diameter from the center of the laser beam. The laser beam L generated from the laser oscillator 10 and converged by the condensing lens 32 is emitted to the bore inner face 91 of the cylinder 90 in a manner that the spot diameter of the laser beam is substantially equal to the diameter of the recessed part.
